What exactly is a Certified Electrician? Electrical licenses are issued to a licensed electrician or licensed contractor. Contractors have a license to work on electrical systems only. They are not allowed to conduct their own electrical business. They have to go through a licensing process just like electricians and can only perform their electrical work under the supervision of licensed electricians.
